Tease ;)

So I recently got a mini elf haul, I ordered a few things alog with my mom and sister. I ordered my first ELF Studio cream blush in Tease. Let me just say, ELF impresses me more and more daily. There has yet to be a product from them that I have hated (and I own quite alot of elf). I wanted to wear the blush before I did a review on it. So yesterday I decided I would try it out. I used my stipple brush first as I have heard that being a good way to apply it. I only did a light coat with the brush when I decided I wanted to apply with my fingers for more of a controlled application. I couldn't decided if I should set it with a powder blush or a translucent powder so I ended up using both. I will probably be sticking to using the Elf studio translucent powder as I dont like the idea of covering it with another color.

Also the only downfall to me is the size. As u can see in the picture compared to the cream eye shadow its HUGE. I wouldn't carry in around in my purse or anything as its too bulky.  But you do get alot of product.

Its not like cream at all, its more towards a mousse feel and ends with a smooth powder finish. I was wearing for about 11 hours before I washed my face and I could still see the color on my cheeks. Tease is a very nice light rose/pink natural color, I would imagine looking nice on almost anyone. I couldn't choose between Heart Breaker or Tease, but I did some research and decided Heart Breaker was a bit brighter pink and wanted to go for something a bit different. After trying one of these blushes tho, I will definitely be purchasing Heart Breaker on my next haul :)

Do any of you use cream blush regularly? Let me know if you have tried any that are a must have!

sonia kashuk limited edition Kashuk Tool's starter kit

Hey ladies! Sorry I was gone for so long! I went on a mini vaca with my boyfriend to North Carolina for Halloween! But now I back :) I hope you all had an amazing and safe halloween!

So I visit my local Target a few times a week to look out for deals or pick up a few new ELF items. The past few weeks I have been eyeing down the Sonia Kashuk brush kits and have been admiring all of there amazing brushes. I use to own a few of their eye brushes years ago (the ones with the white handles) and to be honest they weren't the best so I never bothered buying them again. But anyways, as Im walking past a clearance shelve I see the 3 set Kashuk brush starter kit, the price..... $6!!! Thats right, only $6. It was suppose to be priced at $24.99. It included the Blusher Brush- $17.99, Large domed Eye Shadow Brush- $9.99, and the Small Eye Shadow brush- $9.99. So if bought separately it would be a total of $37.97, so I would of saved $31.97!! Im all about a deal, and my friends thats a good deal!

*The first brush is the Blusher Brush-" Sweep blush onto the apples of cheeks for a natural-looking flush."
I love this brush. The handle on the brush is amazing and so easy to hold and work with, and its super soft. I see myself using this brush for almost everything; from powder foundation, blush, bronzer, highlighter and booster.

*The second brush is the Large Domed eye shadow brush- "Finishes and beautifully blends; perfect for contouring. Don't be afraid to use powder for touch-ups on face." Again, Love this brush and the handle. Its very dense and probably the biggest eye shadow brush I own. I can see  myself using it for my all over color, blending, and even adding highlight to my cheek bones.

*The third brush is the Small Eye Shadow brush- "A great brush that applies and blends." This brushes bristles are a little bit more sturdy. I will be using this brush for the highlighting under my brow and maybe in my crease. I will probably be using this for alot more things once I get the chance to use it!

Each of these brushes has her signature engraved into the tops of the brush. The handles are the best and most comfortable that I have ever held. They make applying make up so much easier and fit so nicely into you hand which gives great control. It also included the Beauty brush-Up book, which includes Tips and Tricks from Sonia Kashuk. These Brushes can be found at most targets and online. I highly suggest checking them out for yourself :) If you own any other brushes from this collection let me know, I would love to add to it!                                                                xoxo

My first NYX Blush

So today will be my first blog post that doesn't include an ELF product! Im going to be reviewing NYX blush in Pinched! I am pretty new to NYX, but I am already in love :)

NYX claims: Our pressed powder blush delivers sheer, silky color that glides on, blends beautifully and creates a natural glow. The formula is richly-pigmented and lasts for hours. Available in 27 shades.

This is one of my favorite blushes. The color is everything I want in a blush. Its a peachy pink color with some gold shimmer. Its easy build able and just leaves a wonderful pinkish glow on the cheeks. This being my first blush from NYX I am very happy with it, and definitely plan of buying more colors. Alot of people say that it is a dupe of Orgasm, I dont own orgasm but from what I have seen the colors are very close and it give you that great glow. I actually have quite a few Orgasm dupes that I will do in another post.

But back to the blush, the only down fall to it is the package. I love how it looks withe the clear window so you can see the product and the black packaging. The down fall is how you open it. I don't know if its just me, or if i got a faulty one but I can not open it with my fingers or nails. I have to use like a screwdriver or something with a flat end. Unless I have something like that around me I wont be able to open it!

Over all I rate this blush a 4/5. The color is beautiful, it applies easy and has great pigmentation. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because how difficult it is for me to open it.

I will try and update this soon with a better swatch, the light just wasn't working in my favor

Do any of you own any of the NYX powder blushes? I would love to know what your favorite colors are because I definitely plan on buying some more and would like to hear your thoughts on them.

                                                                    xoxo

Cream Eyeshadows

Sorry it took me so long to post. I finally got around to getting my moms camera so I can post better pictures of the products! Today im going to be reviewing and swatching Elf Studio Cream Eye shadows.

ELF Claims: "Line, shade and contour your eyes with this ultra pigmented and creaseless cream shadow. Easy to blend for layering and building color. The silky smooth and smudge-proof formula provides long lasting color for a beautiful look all day."

L-R: Bronzed, Eggplant, and Candlelight

L-R: Candlelight, Eggplant, and Bronzed

I love these cream eyeshadows. So far I have them in Bronzed, Eggplant, and Candlelight. They almost have a powder feel once you blend them in. I have notice they all have a bit of a different texture, candlelight seems to be not as creamy. But I wouldnt say the promblem is bad enough to not to use it. They all apply smoothly and have very good pigment. You get alot of product for $3 and there are a good amount of colors to choose from. The only downfall would be the size of the container, as you can see compared to my hand the packaging is very large and bulky.

Bronzed is exactly as the name says. Brown-copper colored eyeshadows are my favorite, and bronzed is one of my top favorite. Its a beautiful rich bronze with just a hint of shimmer.

Eggplant is actually more purple that in the above picture. Its a medium shade of purple with a silver sparkley sheen. Another beautiful color.
Candlelight is a white/cream color with a shimmer. I use this as a highlighter under my eyebrows almost daily.

Do any of you use cream eye shadows? How do you think they compare to power shadows? xoxo

The one thing I cant live without... PRIMER!

I am a HUGE primer addict. I can not put my make up on with my face/eye primer. I always make sure to have back-ups.

First I am going to do a review on my face primers:

*Korres Vitamin E Face Primer-
A white-ish light cream then blends in clear, keeps my make up on all day, Pretty pricey but 99% all natural so amazing for your skin.

* e.l.f Mineral Infused face Primer- Clear product, blends in well, leaves my face feeling really soft and smooth, amazing price, keeps make up on all day
*Bare Escentuals PRIME TIME- This is the first primer I ever used so its almost all gone now, its comparable to the elf primer but more expensive. Good primer but nothing special.
*Sephora base sublimatrice primer- I haven't used this one very often because its tinted, but it was on sale for about $3, blends in well.
*Sephora base lissante smoothing primer- I take this with me everywhere because of the size as a backup, came in a set with my powder foundation, blends in good and feels nice on skin.

Over all the ELF primer is my go to everyday primer as the price is good and keeps my makeup on even in Florida humidity. I keep the Korres primer for special occasions since its expensive, and the other primers are just back ups or if I feel like switching up my face routine lol

Now, on to the eye primers...

* Too Faced shadow insurance - Most expensive, keep eye make up on all day and night, sometimes some clear liquid would come out instead of the primer.. not sure if I just got a faulty one, over all good product.
* ELF mineral eye shadow primer- Good price, my everyday go to for eyes, hold make up well, even still had my eye make up on next moring
* ELF Essentials eyelid primer - the cheapest primer, use it mostly on days when I wear light make up, worth a dollar, keep this one in my make up bag

So again ELF primer wins for my favorite. The price and quality are too good to pass up. I have a few back ups of the elf mineral primer so I dont run out. Again I keep the too faced for special occasions.

I would love to know what you favorite and least favorite primers are, and if you use them everyday like me.
                                                                         xoxo

Oil and shine no more! ELF translucent powder

Another wonderful product from my favorite brand ELF.... The Studio Translucent Matifying powder.

Elf claims "Achieve even flawless skin that’s smoother, redefined and shine free. This translucent powder works on a wide variety of skin tones to help set your makeup in so it lasts longer. The silky lightweight formula also miraculously mattes skin to diminish oil and shine for a beautiful and healthy look! "

Living in Florida its very humid, which means 24/7 oily face. This products helps me so much. Mid afternoon I put some on my forehead and my nose and the shine was totally gone, and stayed that way until night time. It makes my face feel baby soft and is completely translucent on my skin. (My skin color is Medium beige, I use Sephora mattifying foundation powder in D25)

It comes with a good size sponge on one side (I usually don't use brushes/sponges that come with products but this one works really good with the product) , and has the product on the other half. It also has a full sized mirror which is very handy. If any of you have tired this product let me know what you think! xoxo

My go-to product

This is my very first blog! yay! So to start of im going to do a review of a product from one of my favorite make up lines..... ELF!

Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder. Elf says "Create a healthy and natural glow all year long. The Blush highlights the cheeks to add a flush of color, while the Bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful definition."

The packaging is lovely, sleek black with a huge mirror inside. The colors are amazing, the blush is a nice pink with a little bit of shimmer. I think this color would look good on anyone. The bronzer is a rich brown with a small amount of shimmer. I've noticed alot of people saying the bronzer is to dark and looks dirty, but it does exactly what its made for (contouring) and once you blend it in it gives you great definition. This is  my go-to daily product. I keep one in my purse and one in my make up box at home. For $3 this is a steal. Do you have one product at the moment that you just cant live without? Let me know :)
xoxo
